The American Lighting Association (ALA), headquartered in Dallas, has hired Justin E. Neumann as VP/Government Affairs. He is currently the Director/Government Relations with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and a graduate of Brigham Young University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Neumann has gained significant experience with lighting issues from his work at NEMA as well as a prior position as Manager/Federal Government Relations for the Consumer Healthcare Products Association.
“We have completed a major step in our transition to new staff personnel,” says Dick Upton, ALA President and CEO. “Getting Justin on board will allow him eight months to familiarize himself with the issues in which ALA is engaged prior to my retirement next January. ALA staff members have partnered with Justin over the last few years. They are high on his collaborative style, knowledge of the issues, and work ethic. He is bright, engaging and brings great enthusiasm to ALA in his new responsibilities.”
