Humanscale Hires George Kordaris As Global Director Of Research & Design

New York City-based Humanscale – a designer and manufacturer of ergonomic solutions for home, work, and healthcare spaces – welcomes industry veteran George Kordaris back as its Global Director of Research & Design. He has worked in a number of high-level positions at companies such as Vitra, Knoll, and Herman Miller. Kordaris will oversee the Humanscale Design Studio – composed of more than 40 engineers, designers, and prototypists – and work with outside designers at the company’s headquarters.

Humanscale Founder and CEO Robert King remarks, “George has spent his career as a student of design and he has a deep understanding and appreciation for Humanscale’s design heritage. We look forward to George enhancing our position as the leader in ergonomics and innovation in the work space.”

At his previous posts, Kordaris led the A & D program at Herman Miller before serving as President of Humanscale International for more than eight years. In between his current and former positions with Humanscale, he was CEO of Moroso and was an industry consultant.

Kordaris earned a PMD from Harvard Business School and studied history at UCLA. In 2004, he was nominated by Niels Diffrient and named a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
