World Market Center Las Vegas: Further broadening its Gift and Home Show resources, executives with World Market Center Las Vegas announced that it has signed leases with Gifts of Nature and Joan Baker Designs. Both companies will open new showrooms for the Gift + Home show at the 2012 Summer Las Vegas Market, July 30 – August 3.

Gifts of Nature is leasing a 3,220-sq.-ft. space, and its showrooms will be housed in Building C, Suites 806 & 833. Launched in 1995 by John Brown, the Escondido, Ca.-based company represents a wide array of nature-based product manufacturers — from jewelry and candles, to gift and home décor, to body care and aromatherapy products.

“Gifts of Nature is exhibiting at World Market Center Las Vegas to create a presence in what is rapidly becoming the gift, design, and furniture center of the West,” says Brown, the company’s founder and President. “We pride ourselves in being ‘cutting edge’ for our customers and vendors, and this is just another step in the process of supporting this vision. Lines we will be featuring include World Buyers, Aloha Bay, Original India, Raku Potteryworks, Sales One, Sounds True, Whitney Howard, and more,” he adds.

In other market news, Joan Baker Designs, a manufacturer of unique decorative art glass items, is leasing 1,077 square feet of space and will be located in Building C, Suite 825. The company, based in San Clemente, Calif., produces a variety of unique art glass items from wall panels and vases to candleware, fireplace screens, and wind chimes.

“Las Vegas Market is fast-becoming the major show for the West Coast and a preferred destination for many of our customers given the excellent accommodations, entertainment options, and the efficient buying experience at World Market Center Las Vegas,” says Ted Blaylock, National Sales Director for Joan Baker Designs. “World Market Center Las Vegas also offers great value for their tenants and management has been very accommodating and open to suggestions.”

“Our primary strategic objective is to firmly position the Gift + Home show at Las Vegas Market as the premier destination in the West for the gift and home industry,” says Dorothy Belshaw, President of the Gift Division of International Market Centers, parent company of World Market Center Las Vegas. “The addition of industry leaders Joan Baker Designs and Gifts of Nature brings us one step closer to realizing that goal and offers buyers a more extensive product offering.”
