Mila Leyva Retires from Nora Lighting After 23 Years

The second employee to join Nora Lighting more than 23 years ago, Mila Leyva, has retired from the company.  During her tenure at the Commerce, Calif.-based manufacturer Leyva held a range of positions, beginning with office manager and later promoted to accounts receivable and then was responsible for overseeing the human resources department.

“We have been extremely fortunate to have Mila on our team for so many years,” says Jilla Farzan, Executive Vice President. “She joined Nora when we were just a small storefront operation on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles – only four employees with a couple of accounts. As Nora grew, Mila took on more responsibilities and helped us achieve our goals in becoming an industry leader. Along with being a valuable team member, Mila has become a trusted friend and we will miss her smiling face every day.”

“I am so thankful for having been given the opportunity to work with Nora for 23 years,” Leyva remarks. “Thank you Fred (Farzan) and Jilla from the bottom of my heart for believing in me all those years.”
