Since word spread two weeks ago about Generation Lighting relocating from the Dallas Market Center (DMC) Trade Mart showroom space that Feiss occupied for decades to the first floor of the Interior Home + Design Center, there has been much speculation about which company – or companies – would be filling that enormous 24,000 square foot space.
The wait is over. Kuzco Lighting – which has already had a significant presence in the DMC with two adjacent showrooms in the Trade Mart – will be occupying the former Feiss spot on the atrium.
Furthermore, Kuzco will be unveiling a new logo, a rebrand, plus the launch of a new partner brand: Alora Lighting. The expansion and relocation will be in place for the upcoming LIGHTOVATION – Dallas International Lighting Show in January.
Alora Lighting will be showcased in a separate 8,000-sq.-ft. showroom adjacent to the Kuzco space. (TM 4402). The Alora Lighting aesthetic will be classic and transitional, guided by Kuzco President Nathan Yang’s vision of elegant design elements and quality craftsmanship. The look provides a counterpoint to the Contemporary Minimalism that Kuzco is known for.
In support of Alora’s debut, industry veteran Tammy Gran has been named Director/Sales & Operations. Gran brings almost three decades of lighting experience to the position, including lighting showroom sales and management, lighting design and layout as well as various sales and operations background on the manufacturing level. Gran’s experience will be a key asset in building relationships and growing the team at Alora Lighting. “I am thankful for this amazing opportunity, and I look forward to being part of the Alora team that will build the brand into an Industry leader,” Gran says. “Please make sure to join us at our Brand Reveal & Product Launch in January.”
“We are excited about the expansion and growth of Kuzco Lighting, as well as the introduction of our new brand Alora,” Yang remarks. “Our new showroom will allow us to showcase our products in support of our loyal retailers that enabled this growth. This move represents our continued commitment to serve the growing showroom business with more products to serve their needs. We know the brick-and-mortar industry will be thrilled in our investment to better serve our customers.”
“We congratulate Kuzco Lighting, and we are pleased to support their impressive momentum,” comments Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “This investment is a testimony to their leadership in the modern contemporary space and also to Dallas Market Center’s continuing dominance as the largest residential lighting marketplace in North America. The scale and depth of Kuzco Lighting’s commitment is matched by products that are innovative, stylish, and offer quality craftsmanship.”
