High Point Market Announces Entertainment for Spring Market

Stars Under the Stars, the popular series of events at High Point Market, is offering two nights of entertainment at Spring Market April 14-18.

Con Brio frontman Ziek McCarter says, “We don’t want to walk. We don’t want to drive. We want to fly.”
Con Brio, the funky, soulful, and bluesy band from San Francisco, will grace Center Stage on Saturday, April 14.  With a unique sound often likened to music all-stars Michael Jackson, James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, PopMatters calls them “the best new live band in America.”

On Sunday, April 15, Lee Ann Womack brings a blend of country, soul, gospel, and blues to High Point Market. Praised by the likes of The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, she has performed for multiple presidents and sung award-winning duets with Willie Nelson, John Prine, and John Legend. Womack has earned six Country Music Association Awards, including Single of the Year, Album of the Year, five Academy of Country Music Awards, and a Grammy, among others. Her latest album, The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone, has some of the most “immediate and deeply felt vocal performances” of her career, according to NPR Music.

Doors open 7 p.m. both nights at Center Stage, located between the Transportation Terminal and Showplace. Early entry will begin at 6:45 p.m. with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. Complimentary food and drinks are provided to attendees with a current Spring Market pass and photo ID. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted.
