EVOLVE Workshop Session Offered Free to ALA Conference Attendees

Lighting and home décor industry veteran James Fleming, President of Camelot Consulting Group, will be presenting three mini EVOLVE Retailing Excellence strategy session workshops following the American Lighting Association (ALA) 2018 Conference in Asheville, N.C. on Thursday, September 27. The sessions will take place at Fairfield Inn, Asheville Airport, 31 Airport Park Road, in the nearby town of Fletcher.

While EVOLVE YOUR BUSINESS workshops are normally all-day events running from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Fleming tells enLIGHTenment magazine that he has condensed the 8-hour workshop for ALA Conference attendees into a “fast-paced, two-hour boot camp to provide key take-aways and strategies for significantly improving business results.”

To maximize the opportunity for ALA members returning home from Conference on Thursday to attend, Fleming is offering the 2-hour course for free at multiple times during the day at a location convenient to the airport. The session schedule is as follows: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast/lunch will be served.

According to Fleming, “EVOLVE Retailing Excellence workshops are designed to support retailers with meeting marketplace challenges with the ongoing growth of online retailers. The workshops deliver specific action steps and strategies that retailers can adopt, implement, and manage to improve business performance and financial results with revenues, margins, inventory turns, marketing, merchandising, staff recruiting, and profits.”

The EVOLVE workshops generally require an investment of $495 for each attendee and $199 for additional attendees from the same business. Vendor sponsors can also provide free passes.

EVOLVE business practices are particularly suited for independent and family-owned retailers who don’t have continuous business improvement training programs in place.

The EVOLVE Retailing Excellence program is targeted for cities throughout North America in 2018/2019.
