Corbett Lighting Adds to the Glamour at the 2019 LEGENDS Festival

Thousands of attendees turned out to celebrate legendary design stars for the La Cienega Design Quarter’s (LCDQ) annual LEGENDS event in Hollywood. For the first time, the LCDQ honored two living legends: Bunny Williams of New York and Suzanne Rheinstein of Los Angeles.

The theme – Legendary: Icons of Design – is a revival of the inaugural LEGENDS theme in 2009. To celebrate, 40 internationally renowned design stars presented their homages to legendary interior designers of the past. Keeping to tradition, the interior designers transformed the windows of the 50 LCDQ shop and showroom windows to honor the Icons of Design, among them were Albert Hadley, Rose Cumming, David Hicks, Elsie de Wolfe, Mark Hampton, Jean Michel Frank, Billy Baldwin, Dorothy Draper, and Mario Buatta.

Designers who participated in creating the LEGENDS 2019 windows include New Yorkers Alex Papachristidis, Penny Drue Baird, Neal Beckstedt, Sasha Bikoff and Nicole Fuller, Emily Summers from Dallas, Tom Stringer from Chicago, and Southern California designers including Jeremiah Brent plus Brooke and Steve Giannetti.

The LEGENDS event is the largest of its kind and is supported by major corporate sponsors and a dozen media partners. LEGENDS brings thousands of influencers, enthusiasts, top design editors, and purveyors of design from across the U.S. and from around the world to the LCDQ for three days of keynotes, open houses, discussions, book signings, exhibitions, social events, and networking.

Corbett Lighting and designer-to-the-stars Martyn Lawrence Bullard hosted the highly anticipated closing night cocktail party with 200+ VIP LEGENDS attendees and celebrated the launch of the renowned designer’s lighting collection with Corbett Lighting, which featured nine families that evoke both Old Hollywood and natural elements, fusing Bullard’s glamourous aesthetics with materials such as acacia wood and hand-blown Venetian glass. Fixtures from the Hopper, Magic Garden, Romanov, Carayes, and Utopia families were among those featured at the party.
