Hudson Valley Lighting’s NY Facility Receives LEED Silver Status

Hudson Valley Lighting Group’s facility in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., has been awarded with the LEED Silver designation for energy efficiency. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a widely used green building rating system that provides an outline for energy-efficient, cost-effective, and healthy building spaces. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement.

“We are honored to be receiving this designation,” says David Littman, Founder and CEO of Hudson Valley Lighting Group. “This company’s roots are in the Hudson River Valley; it was important to us to build a facility that helped maintain the natural beauty of this area.”

As a Silver-designated building, the Hudson Valley Lighting facility has earned LEED points across several categories, including: water efficiency, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality, energy and atmosphere, location and transportation, sustainable sites, and innovation.
