When renovating their kitchens and baths, many homeowners feel overwhelmed by all of the choices. Taking some of the angst out of coordinating the finishes and styles among their appliances, plumbing, and decorative hardware is a strategic partnership between a plumbing manufacturer and a lighting company.

Several years ago, executives at Delta Faucet and Progress Lighting discovered their products had a lot of synergies that could benefit consumers. Both companies are long-time exhibitors at national forums such as the International Builders Show and have a pulse on the styles that are popular among builders, remodelers, and their clients. Together, they’ve created the Delta Match program, where select lighting fixtures are coordinated with specific kitchen and bath plumbing faucets.

Paige Malouche, director of Marketing Services for Progress Lighting, says that offering complementary fixtures and faucets creates a cohesive and stylish look for the home.

“Progress and Delta take into account all types of influencers around us that set trends,” Malouche explains. “Colors, styles, and finishes all must reflect the needs and wants of our consumer base – and, together, we help create fixtures that serve this purpose.”

According to Libbe Milicia, director/Product Development for Progress Lighting, the lighting firm meets with Delta before the faucet company introduces its new designs.  “While all families may not match exactly, the Delta Bath Match collection offers fixtures and faucet selections that allow customers to coordinate and complement the details within their interior décor,” she comments.

The two companies cross-promote the Delta Bath Match series by making the end-consumer aware of the coordinating lines through each company’s Web site as well as by hangtags, packaging, and co-op advertising.

Which finishes will continue to be on consumers’ wish list going forward?  “Chrome and Polished Nickel have been – and will continue to remain – popular for both kitchens and baths,” Milicia states. “I think the reason for that is these two finishes coordinate with many different fixture styles and décor preferences.  Plus, they can instantly update the look of any kitchen or bath. While all of the families may not match exactly, the Delta Bath Match collection allows homeowners to coordinate and complement the details within their interior settings.”
