Organized by Dallas Market Center (DMC) in partnership with enLIGHTenment magazine, the most recent Market Choice Awards – held several days ago at LIGHTOVATION: Dallas International Lighting Show – boasted a record-setting amount of submissions from more participating manufacturers exhibiting at the DMC than ever before in its history.

For this year’s awards, 50 LIGHTOVATION exhibitors submitted 130 products in 6 product categories: Bath, Ceiling Fans, Chandeliers & Pendants, Outdoor, Portable Lamps, and Technology. In addition, each entry qualified for consideration in the first-ever Editor’s Choice Award, selected by enLIGHTenment magazine’s Editorial Director Linda Longo.

The Market Choice winners are:

Ceiling Fans: i6 by Big Ass Fans

Chandeliers & Pendants: Rinkle by ET2

Outdoor: Taper by Hinkley Lighting

Portable Lamps: Goliath by Robert Abbey

Technology: Wi-Fi Smart Panel Light by DALS

Editor’s Choice: Glacier by Hammerton Studio by Hammerton

“Congratulations to these stylish and innovative companies,” says Cindy Morris, President & CEO of DMC. “The summer introduction of new products, paired with educational seminars and business insights, helps make LIGHTOVATION a must-attend event.”

“It was difficult to single out just one product design for the Editor’s Choice distinction since all of the entries in the competition were outstanding in creativity, price point, and design execution,” notes enLIGHTenment magazine’s Linda Longo. “Lighting showroom buyers who came to market looking for new and unique products were rewarded with an abundance of choices. I look forward to next year’s edition, when there will certainly be even more worthy choices in each category.”
