ART Teams Up With Dwell With Dignity

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-based ART, the creative home furnishings network, has formed a partnership with the Dallas-based charity Dwell with Dignity, a non-profit group of interior designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty.

“We believe that if we can change a person’s surroundings, we can change their outlook on life,” says Lisa Robison, founder of Dwell with Dignity.  “The partnership with ART means that we have an industry behind us that believes that same thing.  We’re so grateful!  It’s inspiring and it keeps us moving forward as we work to fulfill our mission.”

The marketing committee, which includes Robbin Wells of Dallas Market Center, Kellee Hollenback of Troy/CSL/Littman Brands, and Vanessa Turney of Light by Design spearheaded the idea as part of the new marketing plan for ART.

“The community service project during ART Conference 2012 in New Orleans with Jericho Road Housing Initiative was so rewarding for the attendees that we decided to look for a yearlong partner,” explains Sharon Davis, executive director of ART.  “We’re touched by the simple act of making someone’s home more inviting with donations from our generous supporters and decided to look for a partner doing similar work.  We found a great organization in Dwell with Dignity.”

ART will support Dwell with Dignity with donations and volunteers and will promote their special projects located in other parts of the country.
