With a simple circular silhoue e and an under- stated design, the Gravy
LED wall sconce ts any interior space. The cord- free joint design subtly and cleverly incorporates full range articulations, allowing it to be used for ambient or task lighting. The swiveling shade shines light where needed; controlling the light is easy, simply tap the center of the LED head’s underside to turn on or o , and hold to dim or brighten. The Gravy sconce comes in a wide selection of n- ishes including felt fabric, chrome, wood veneers, and painted nishes. The Gravy sconce was the Spark Awards 2015 Gold Winner and won the iF Design Award 2016.
LL: WHere can buyers fInd koncepT?
K&EN: In addition to showing at Lightovation in Dallas, we regularly exhibit at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, NeoCon in Chicago, and other regional shows. We also have decided to open a High Point Market showroom in April 2018.
LL: WILL THe daLLas markeT sHoWroom be koncepT’s fIrsT?
K&EN: We previously exhibited in the Spectrum \[temporary\] showcase in the Trade Mart of the Dallas Market Center, but we are very excited to show the industry our new permanent showroom in January (4731 TM).
LL: WHaT Was beHInd THe pIvoTaL decIsIon To InvesT In a permanenT Trade-onLy sHoWroom?
K&EN: Due to the size limitation of our Spectrum space, we could not showcase the variety of prod- ucts in our line. Having a permanent showroom will help our sales team to network and develop more connections within the industry. A lot can be learned from talking with customers in person and witnessing rst-hand how they interact with our products.
LL: WHaT do cusTomers say Is THe mosT unIque feaTure of your producTs? K&EN: Rather than appreciating just one feature, our customers enjoy the combination of sleek, Minimalist design and heightened functionality. We rst consider the usability of the design, but always retain the thought that consumers want their lights to look great in their surrounding en- vironments. There is a lot of functionality, such as USB compatibility, wireless phone charging, and color-tunable light engines packed into these Minimalist silhoue es.
LL: WHaT can cusTomers Look forWard To seeInG In 2018 from koncepT?
K&EN: We started out designing portable lighting and then worked toward introducing more hard- wired xtures, such as our ceiling xtures and wall sconces. The portable lighting category won’t be ignored, however, as customers can look forward to seeing the release of our new Spli y desk lamp in early 2018, with the Royyo family of lamps soon to follow. 
