Momentum Builds For Winter 2014 NY NOW Debut

Robust attendee registration and an influx of new exhibitor confirmations reflect increasing momentum for the winter 2014 debut of NY NOW™, the Market for Home + Lifestyle (formely NYIGF®), set for February 1-6 at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94.

“We are experiencing huge registration gains this winter, as a result of both pro-active retailer outreach and online registration system improvements,” says Christian Falkenberg, NY NOW Director and GLM Senior Vice President. “To date, we have registered more than 15,000 attendees for the winter 2014 market, which is more than double the number of buyers registered for market at this time last year.”

According to Falkenberg, this exponential increase is tied to early and enthusiastic retailer commitments to attend the February 2014 Market, along with a streamlined online registration process. Registering retailers have cited NY NOW’s new, easier-to-shop layout and overall benefits of New York City as a market destination as motivators for winter Market attendance.
