Lighting buyers have 60+ good reasons to attend the International Lighting Market June 18-21, held in conjunction with the Total Home + Gift Market at the Dallas Market Center.
Retailers on the hunt for fresh new lighting designs will find more than five dozen guaranteed fresh introductions from 30 of their favorite manufacturers.
In partnership with Dallas Market Center, enLIGHTenment Magazine will unveil the winners of the first-ever 2014 Market Choice Awards on-site at the show. The Market Choice Awards were created to bring back the excitement of finding new designs during the mid-way point of the year when distributors are gearing up for the pre-holiday fall selling season. Lighting manufacturers who are participating in the Market Choice Awards program will feature product introductions in up to six categories: Indoor, Outdoor, Bath/Spa, Landscape, Ceiling Fans, and Portable Lamps. The bar is set high as registered lighting showroom buyers will be voting for their favorite new products during market.
“The Market Choice Awards offer a refreshing approach to introducing new and innovative products to the market in a friendly competition among exhibitors. For the first time, lighting buyer attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite designs,” explains Rick Wiedemer, president of Hinkley Lighting and a member of the Lighting Board of Governors at the Dallas Market Center. “The feedback from buyers will be immediately obvious for everyone to see,” he comments, adding, “It should add some spice to the June market!”

Product submissions from the lighting exhibitors will be on display in the Dallas Market Center. Lighting buyers will be casting their votes at market; voting will close at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20. Once the votes are tabulated, the products with the most votes in each category will be announced at market and the results posted on enLIGHTenment Magazine’s Web site: www.enlightenmentmag.com.
Select new products showcased in the contest will be sold in the Gift for Life booth at the Dallas Sample Sale held each November at the Dallas Market Center. All proceeds will go directly to Gift for Life, a charity that raises funds to support HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and education.
