Warmbold and his wife moved to the Portland, Oregon area with their two small children to open a lighting showroom – which they called Accent Lighting – in 1996.

Through his hard work and dedication, Accent Lighting has grown to become a primary source of lighting supply and design in all of Oregon. Warmbold has long credited the American Lighting Association (ALA) and its educational programs for being cornerstones to his success. He is actively involved in the ALA, earning his Certified Lighting Consultant (CLC) accreditation and currently serves as Chairman of the Certification Committee.

Warmbold has staffed the Accent Lighting showroom with knowledgable and dedicated employees, many of whom followed his example and have earned their CLC certification.

In 2015, Accent Lighting won the Showroom of the Year Award in its category and in 2014, received an award for Exceptional Community Service. In addition, many employees at Accent Lighting have donated time and money to charities the showroom is involved with. Warmbold and his team also donate time to two local community colleges, providing lectures to interior design students on lighting. In his spare time, Warmbold volunteers with an equine outreach program that facilitates the rescue, rehabilitation, and permanent placement of abused, neglected, and unwanted horses.
